The arrogance of stupidity and a false sense of entitlement
You would think that if your boyfriend had been appointed to a high-level state position for which he is wholly unfit, because of his political leverage (twice over), and if you yourself had got your job at the state council he runs because you were seeing him behind his second wife’s back, and then had him promote you for the same reason, you would have the good sense to lie low, get busy at the office, and keep your trap shut.
But no. The combination of low intelligence and extreme arrogance is devastating – to the individual concerned. Besides, the idea of Pauline Boffa’s daughter calling anybody else “baxxa u ordinarja”, while Mrs Boffa herself clicks ‘Like’, is just too funny for words. But let’s not go there. As I said, too stupid for any kind of self-awareness. And too dim and ill-bred to know that state employees should not insult the electors who pay their salaries, that state council employees should not be abusive to anyone at all because they represent their employer, and that behaving badly towards journalists is out of the question for those who work for state corporations and councils.
If Lara Boffa were working in the private sector, she would receive a warning for this kind of thing, and before long find herself out on her ear. But then perhaps that’s why she wasn’t capable of finding a job in the private sector, and had the incoming Labour government and her boyfriend pluck her off the list of the registered unemployed.
Nice to know that this is where our money is going.
