The Orwellian government: caught between a rock and a hard place

This is Aleander Balzan, registered editor of the Labour Party’s television station. After a sustained campaign to promote the message that I am not a journalist and that this website has nothing to do with news, they are now in a quandary. Are they going to attempt to force me to register with the government (which means admitting everything they have tried to negate), or are they going to say that I am not required to register because I am not a journalist and this website isn’t news?

This means that I now have a quandary myself. Do I defy them by refusing to register, or do I defy them by attempting to register, forcing them to refuse me on the grounds that I am not a journalist and this is not news, leading to another battle in the war of attrition?

I think I shall just carry on with my original plan, which is to ask my designer to rework the home page to include the strapline: NOT REGISTERED WITH THE GOVERNMENT OF MALTA.

The editor of Super One News, accusing others of spreading hate – these sleazy bogans really have no insight or self-awareness at all. What is it they think they do for a living, exactly?
