I have sent the following message to Lou Bondi – I dislike being shouted at and threatened by bogans with money, so won’t be ringing his client, Hardrock Silvio, directly – and am awaiting a reply.

Good afternoon. What was the purpose of your visit to Stefano Filletti Advocates yesterday evening, with Arthur Gauci? Is Gauci in the habit of taking his communications adviser with him to meetings with lawyers, or do you now have a more permanent commercial role in Silvio Debono’s outfit?

I resisted the temptation to add that this message is being sent in the spirit of “ġurnaliżmu fuq kollox”.

It’s so convenient when your two main clients are the government of Malta and Silvio Debono’s outfit, and both are paying you at the same time. Now instead of reporting on the stories, you’re paid to cover them up.
