People long for the days when the biggest problem was a Maltese wall-clock

The government is drowning in sleaze, shady deals and corruption, to the point where people minds are ‘blasted’ and they have lost all sense of scale and context. A Maltese clock looked pretty big four years ago because there was nothing else to compare it with. Now we look at a sleaze-ball like Christian Cardona, and instead of wondering what the hell he’s doing in the cabinet of government, we say, “Well, at least he didn’t get into government and immediately begin setting up companies for himself in Panama.”
