Silvio Debono has applied to take over part of the beach in Qawra and dig a tunnel beneath the coast road

Most people don’t know that Silvio Debono doesn’t just own and control the Seabank Hotel at Ghadira Bay, but also the San Antonio Hotel in Qawra. Now that he’s got the Muscat government in his pocket and has been working on sewing up all critical mouths elsewhere, he has applied for planning permission to dig a tunnel from his Qawra hotel, beneath the public coast road and promenade, opening up onto the public beach, where he will “construct a lido”.
