We’ve been paying the Prime Minister’s children’s school fees for the last four years

Four years down the line, it’s finally clicked why the Prime Minister took the tacky route of using his own family saloon for government business, and paying himself €7,000 for doing that instead of using a proper official car.

The penny dropped a couple of days ago, when I asked how much the annual tuition fees are for two children at San Anton School. The answer: €7,000.

So that’s why he did it. In typical fashion, he’d found a way to have his children’s school fees covered for five years by offloading them onto the public as he did with his parents-in-law’s care in a private nursing home.

If he’s re-elected this year and can eke that tired old Alfa out for another five years, we’ll have paid for their entire schooling.

This car is paying for Soleil’s and Etoile’s tuition fees at San Anton School – or rather, we are.
