It should be clear that the documents were not actually physically taken from the safe at the bank permanently, because it would have been immediately obvious that somebody who worked there and was still working there took them.

The documents NEVER LEFT THE BANK’S OFFICE (until last Thursday, I imagine). They were scanned in that office and returned to the safe, where they should have remained.

Why have the documents surfaced now, 13 months later? Because the person who scanned them is not working there any more.

Memo to Evarist Bartolo: please make rational analysis a mandatory part of the school curriculum. But if you do that, nobody would vote for the Malta Labour Party ever again.
