Bettino Craxi escaped justice by fleeing to Hammamet

Bettino Craxi, leader of the Italian Socialist Party, escaped justice by fleeing to his villa in Hammamet, Tunisia.

Joseph Muscat, Keith Schembri, Konrad Mizzi and Brian Tonna are now desperate to escape justice by getting themselves re-elected to government (because when you elect Muscat and Mizzi, you also elect Schembri and Tonna).

There is ample evidence – PROOF, as the cretins on Facebook would have it – for their arrest and interrogation by the police, followed by their prosecution for money-laundering and corruption. But have the police acted? No, they have not.

One Police Commissioner actually preferred to resign rather than do what he knew was his duty to do. And his successor, the current incumbent, is intellectually challenged to a phenomenal degree and besotted with the men he is in duty bound to go after.

But that state of affairs cannot be prolonged beyond the general election, unless these criminals win it. Which is why Muscat, Schembri, Mizzi and Tonna are fighting – literally, all claws bared and daggers drawn – to stay out of jail and hang on to their assets, which would be frozen at the start of a money-laundering investigation/trial and then confiscated on conviction.

Now all we have to do is find a clock and a couple of football match tickets, and they’re done for.
