Glenn Bedingfield’s and Keith Schembri’s proofreader in Sharjah/Dubai with Arts Council/Heritage Malta bosses

Michela Spiteri, the Sunday Times columnist who has been outed as a propaganda proof-reader and translator for the Prime Minister’s chief of staff, Keith ‘Panama’ Schembri, and for Glenn Bedingfield, the Prime Minister’s communications officer, was in Sharjah and Dubai this week as part of an official delegation from Malta.

It is not clear in what capacity she formed part of the delegation – there were no members of the press – but she accompanied Ray Bondin, Heritage Malta’s international programmes manager, Albert Marshall, CEO of the Malta Arts Council, and Gavin Gulia, chairman of the Malta Tourism Authority.

This photography, which a reader saw on Facebook and downloaded, was removed within minutes when the ‘Glenn Bedingfield’s proof-reader’ story broke.

Sharjah is the third largest city in the United Arab Emirates, and is 15km from the largest, Dubai.

This article describes the event.

Michela Spiteri, who is paid by the government to check and translate propaganda documents for Keith Schembri and Glenn Bedingfield, is first on right.
