José, Konrad and Dom Mintoff “embellish” Malta’s public gardens

This is quite sad, isn’t it? But what’s sadder still is the way English is an official language of this country, but people in officialdom don’t know that “embellish” does not mean beautify or improve. It means adding decorative details to an item, like sequins on a jacket or beads on a belt.
If you don’t believe me, José, look it up. And many others should do likewise. How are you planning on embellishing a garden in the name of Dom Mintoff – by sewing tiny poison-dwarf motifs to the trees and gluing glass beads to the benches?
