You will notice that Simon Busuttil didn’t say he’s taking the information to the police
And I also noticed that of the journalists there, only Ivan Martin of the Times of Malta asked him whether he would be doing so. One of them was too busy asking the Opposition leader about me and Egrant Inc (some obsessions really take over).
Well, there’s certainly a major story there, a story which really frames Keith Schembri’s lying denials in context.
Fortunately, this is a bit of background I can provide myself, given that I have my own sources with the police and also the same information. Simon Busuttil was quoting from a report made to the police by the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit a year ago, with a recommendation for the further investigation of Brian Tonna and the Prime Minister’s chief of staff on corruption and money-laundering.
The police have had that request for the investigation of Tonna and Schembri for more than a year, and have done nothing about it.
This is why the Opposition leader didn’t say that he is taking the information to the police, and will be taking it to the inquiring magistrate instead – because the police have been sitting on that information for a year.
Arrest and interrogate Brian Tonna and the Prime Minister’s chief of staff? Of course not. Meanwhile, that fraud Schembri this morning said he would sue me for libel damages, and this evening said he would do the same to the Opposition leader, when not only did he do the things we said he did, but there is actually a pending report for his investigation, by the FIAU, to the police.
These people are completely shameless. If you pop over to his Facebook page right now, you’ll find him posturing and playing the victim of liars. Apparently, the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit is lying about him too, to the police – as my police sources inform me.
