Government communications chief redefines “serious and upright”

John Bonello is another of those people who departed shrieking from the Nationalist Party, slamming the door behind him and giving it a kick for good measure, then diving straight into Muscat’s skip, because he didn’t get what he thought he deserved: in his case, a place on the party ticket for the European Parliament elections.

Kurt Farrugia, the government’s communications chief, thinks Bonello is “upright and serious”. But then he would, wouldn’t he? He works for Keith Schembri, Joseph Muscat and Konrad Mizzi, and defends them on a daily basis.
