The first weekend in June is big for weddings in Malta. But the Prime Minister cares as little about that as he does about the thousands of children, teenagers and university students who will be sitting for their exams.
Around 25 couples at getting married on the 3rd June alone (let us take a moment of silence to consider the plight of those who will be marrying on Sunday 4th) and they can’t even find the mandatory police officer to stand guard at the reception.
That’s bad enough. But then imagine how you’d feel if you were one of those people and woke up to find parliamentary secretary Ian Borg rubbing your nose in it.
