JUST NOW: Police stop traffic on the Regional Road to let Mrs Muscat through

A friend has just messaged from her car to say: “We have just been stopped by police on the road leading off the Regional Road, only to see loads of police outriders escorting Mrs Muscat’s serenely chauffeured car through.”

Michelle Muscat hosted a fashion show at Villa Francia this evening and must have been in a bit of a rush to get home. There may be a general election campaign on, being fought in a slew of scandals and pan-European shock-horror coverage, but life must go on, with fashion shows, parties, appointments with the dressmaker and the make-over artist, and lots of lunches and dinners.
