Labour keeps grand tradition of publishing a book for every election
The Labour Party has a grand tradition of publishing propaganda books for election campaigns. Joseph Muscat and his office sidekick Glenn Bedingfield were both, in their day, authors of propaganda books for the Labour Party’s imprint, Sensiela Kotba Socjalisti.
In 2013, the book was a hagiography of Great Leader Joseph Muscat, authored by two-and-a-half-year-prison-sentence Cyrus Engerer, now in Brussels on €85,000 a year plus perks.
In this campaign, the book is going to be about Muscat again, only this time, it’s not his life but his “hsiebijiet” (thoughts).
Just like Muammar Gaddafi and Chairman Mao, Muscat is going to have a book of thoughts. And unlike them, he’s on the cover, looking pensively into the middle distance, chin raised.
We couldn’t resist playing around with that cover.
