I see that despite all the accusations of frivolity and over-spending, Mrs Muscat is still going out of her way to overdress for the occasion. She may be living the dream for her husband’s working-class supporters, but at this stage she should have the good sense to understand how badly she has alienated everybody else. There is a reason why Kristina Chetcuti is sticking doggedly to her jeans and T-shirts.
