Silvio Schembri tries to buy old people’s votes with packets of buns

Labour candidate Silvio Schembri visited St Vincent de Paul home for the aged and handed out plastic bags of buns with his photograph and name on them, in attempt at buying their votes. Giving out food and drink in an attempt at persuading people to vote for you is a criminal offence.
