“Why I will vote PN” – Jurgen Balzan
Up until now, it was considered completely unacceptable for a journalist to say how he or she planned to vote. I was the only one doing it, and to make matters worse, I said that I would vote Nationalist, which apparently was even more unacceptable after 2003.
But now it has become a pressing matter of conscience even for journalists, it seems, to say that on Saturday they will vote against this corrupt government. Over at Malta Today, James Debono and Jurgen Balzan have written pieces, in their personal blogs, about why they will vote PN the day after tomorrow. Both are ordinarily AD supporters. Their boss, Saviour Balzan, has written a piece about why he will vote Labour (me, of course) – but he’s got an incurable illness.
It takes a lot for people like James and Jurgen to say they will vote Nationalist, but they illustrate the point I make often: that there is no such thing as Labour or Nationalist. There are only decent people and indecent ones. Anybody who votes on Saturday for Muscat and his criminals does not do so because he or she is ‘Labour’, but because he or she is fundamentally indecent. The Labour Party does not even exist anymore, except on paper. It is now Joseph Muscat Dot Com, hijacked completely by Muscat and his criminal henchman Keith Schembri, with a few human tools they use to their advantage.
