I messaged back immediately.
No wonder you failed the exam, with such poor reasoning skills.
I’ve never been one to pander to people. I know that politicians are inclined to run after shameful people like these, and try to reassure them. But the worst thing you can do in these situations is help further the delusions of these people that they are right or even normal.
People are risking their jobs and their livelihood, exposing themselves to criminal prosecution, to retaliation and retribution, to help expose the crimes of this government. And then tossers like this one – I had to use the word and make no apologies for it – are sunk in their own self-regard, thinking it’s all about them.
If the political parties keep pandering to this kind of personality disorder – for it most certainly is a personality disorder when you think that the world revolves around you and nothing else matters – there can be no hope of making Malta properly European and we will be right back in this ball of tension every five years.

And I replied at once, because this is the sort of reasoning that really, but really, gets on my nerves and makes me wonder how some parents brought up their children that they turned into these sorts of narrow-focus, self-centred adults.
