Adrian Delia plans to defend freedom of expression by refusing to answer inconvenient questions

Everywhere you look these days, Adrian Delia is out on the hustings. Today he told us that he plans to defend democracy and freedom of expression. Nice thought – only he didn’t say how. He didn’t even mention the Press Act or the new media bill which got stuck in parliament and forgotten about when the general election was called.

Maybe Dr Delia plans to defend democracy and freedom of expression by refusing to answer journalists’ questions that are inconvenient to him, or calling them hysterical if they’re women who interrupt his litigation-lawyerly circular arguments by pointing out that they don’t make sense.

This country needs a big break from quackery.
