Adrian Delia’s Black-Shirts
A man who was volunteering at the Nationalist Party headquarters yesterday told this website:
“Simon Busuttil was there, and I saw one of the thugs who clogged the foyer spitting directly in front of him, and insulting him with swear words and other famous body parts. I reckon that these are below Labour standards.”
That’s right: they’re not Labour standards. They’re fascist standards: the power-play in which it is not sufficient for the incoming proto-fascist leader to be seen to win, but to be seen to be seizing power while subjugating the man from whom he has seized it.
Hence all those thugs, aggression, insults to and denigration of the current incumbent, growling and shouting, and more in that vein.
Journalists got the same treatment yesterday. As the thugs who choked the lobby jostled and pushed and shouted and sang and fell over themselves, journalists were harried and shoved and unable to make their way through. As Matthew Bonett, the party employee who for the last four years has taken care of journalists and media relations, appealed for them to clear a path to let the journalists through, they shouted: “X’ala (expletive deleted) mill-ġurnalisti! Adrian! Indaħħluħ Kastilja! Adrian!”
Hekk moħħhom: biex idaħħlu l-Adrian Kastilja ħalli jibdew jaħtfu minflok l-oħrajn.
