Adrian Delia’s statement of affairs does not include his deed of constitution of debt with HSBC

The statement of affairs which Adrian Delia published today makes no reference to the deed of constitution of debt signed with HSBC in July, under which Delia and his wife agreed to make themselves jointly and severally liable as sureties with the other shareholders for the sum of €7.3 million on which Mgarr Developments Ltd has defaulted. The bank has agreed to suspend interest on the debt for the next 16 months, but in January 2019, it will foreclose on any amount still left unpaid. The €7.3 million have been owing since 2006, when the loan was taken out – a full 11 years.

This debt should have been included with the statements of affairs which Mazars prepared for Delia.
