Delia campaign aide convicted last year for sending pictures of his penis to girl, 16

Mario Degiorgio, one of Adrian Delia’s campaign aides, was convicted last year but conditionally discharged for two years, for having sent photographs of his penis to a vulnerable girl of 16 who has a history of drug abuse.

He had approached her on Facebook, won her confidence and then began photographing his penis and sending her the pictures. He claimed to the police and in court that he believed her to be 18.

Mr Degiorgio, who is 36 and from Hamrun, was picked up by police after the girl’s father, who found the photographs, filed a report at the police station in Rabat.

This website made several attempts today to reach Mr Degiorgio on his mobile phone, for comment, but he neither picked up nor returned the calls.
