Delia thinks gangs of 14-year-old boys are more dangerous than the Mafia and the ‘Ndrangheta
Delia said today that he has “a moral conviction” that somebody will give up his seat for him, so that the leader of the Nationalist Party can also be the leader of the Opposition.
He was also challenged by a journalist about his description on television a few days ago of “gangs from the most dangerous countries on earth, which are infiltrating Malta”. It turns out that he didn’t mean the Mafia or the ‘Ndrangheta (of course not). No, he meant gangs of 14-year-old boys, who by definition are in Malta with their parents anyway, and the “most dangerous countries on earth” are, in his view, in Eastern Europe.
And another point: never in all my years in journalism have I seen anyone, let alone a politician of any kind, address a press conference wearing sunglasses. It is the height of bad manners, and it made him look really shady – which is par for the course, I suppose.
