Good luck with that, Delia

Adrian Delia, who is taking it for granted already that he is the new leader of the Nationalist Party even though 22,000 people are still to vote (that’s the kind of person he is), has had a piece published today in The Malta Independent, in which he anoints himself. It is accompanied by the now-standard photograph which attempts to conjure up images of Eddie Fenech Adami in his best years, a transparent attempt at working on our subconscious.

I posted the following comment beneath it:

Your first task as Nationalist Party leader will be trying to explain to the thousands who flee the party why they should actually vote for you when they didn’t want to vote for Joseph Muscat, Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri. Good luck with that.
