Muscat in June: “I can work well with Busuttil’s replacement”

A few days after the general election, the Prime Minister said in an interview on television: “I can’t work with Simon Busuttil, but I can work with the man who replaces him.”

At the time I thought, how can he say that? He has no idea who will replace him. It had struck me (take note of what strikes you, even if it might seem to mean nothing at the time).

Now things are slotting into place.

“Next time, we’ll tell Adrian to join us.”
