The poor thing is still processing his tax returns, because unlike those of the other 200,000+ tax-paying citizens of Malta, his tax returns are special. They are not filled-in forms kept in a file which you can pull out when you need them. No, Adrian Delia’s tax returns need to be “processed”.
He just doesn’t want to show them to us. That’s not a great idea, because as soon as he gets his seat in parliament – if he is elected, that is, and if he gets his seat – newspaper editors will be empowered immediately under the law to request his current and previous tax return from the Commissioner for Revenue, via the Speaker of the House.
