Policies as a game of poker: Muscat – “I won’t show my hand”

Published: November 14, 2011 at 12:59am

Anglu Farrugia, hard at work researching policy, allavolja muhiex tekniku. Imma semplici hafna. U cara daqs il-kristall.

Asked about the government’s criticism of the PL for failing to declare its policies, Dr Muscat said htat Labour will explain its policies before the election.

It had already given proposals on the cost of living adjustment, medicines, and the protection of whistle blowers.

It had also made proposals on reducing the electricity tariffs clearly, transparently and sustainably. However, it would be irresponsible fo him to provide figures now as they would need constant revision.

“I am responsible and ready to assume responsibility for what I promise,” Dr Muscat said.

What is he doing, dressed up as a Mafia boss?!

    • No problem says:

I guess he is saying to the man with the ponytail, “Iva, minghalija kitbitli wahda fuq Fejsbuk jisimha ….Pusang, mdahhla fil-politika din. Min jaf kieku nghidu lilha wkoll biex tohrog maghna, eh? Inzidu fl-iskip? Joseph ikun happy u ara kemm jghiru n-Nazzjonalisti…..”

  2. Matt says:

Daphne, the MLP’s delegates voted for Joseph Muscat, Anglu Farrugia and Toni Abela because they had quietly promised that once elected they would pull Malta out of the EU.

Obviously, as we have seen so far, for the Labour delegates the criteria for the leadership was not about who would be a better statesman or who would be the better leader to raise our standard of living.

Jien minhiex tekniku, ghalija din hi “cara daqs il-kristall”.

We heard those promises when, at the Phoenicia hotel, a contract was signed by Dr Sant .

  4. Antoine Vella says:

Joseph Muscat said that he is “ready to assume responsibility” for what he promises.

Except that he’s not proposing anything is he?

  5. La Redoute says:

No one’s asking for exact figures, but plenty of people have asked repeatedly HOW he plans to reduce bills.

He needn’t give us any figures because he doesn’t have any. He doesn’t have any, because he doesn’t know how to do it.

They must be furiously printing euros at their Marsa establishment. They have to finance lower W&E tariffs, somehow, now that Gaddafi millions have dried up.

  6. Jozef says:

‘However, it would be irresponsible fo him to provide figures now as they would need constant revision.’

Are we to understand that his method will provide a constant variation in tariffs?

Not really the best method for companies calculating their costs is it?

  7. ciccio2011 says:

Why is Joseph Muscat saying that “It had also made proposals on reducing the electricity tariffs clearly, transparently and sustainably” when Anglu Farrugia and Karmenu Vella had no idea what proposals Labour is making?

Cara din. Daqs il-kristall. Tahdem fuqha. Nsaqsi lill-Primmministru. Mhix ovvja. Semplici. Illi….illi…
…ma mititx, pero’ hadd mhu qed jaghfas fuqha…
