Back in June 2008, when Joseph Muscat had just become Labour leader, this song and video by Super One stalwart Joe Demicoli unwittingly (or perhaps not) synthesised and captured the essence of why Joseph and his party are in the mess they find themselves now.
This video has been viewed more than 153,000 times already on YouTube, which means that it has really struck a chord. To give you some basis for comparison, the eternally popular ‘Fejn kien Charlon Gouder/Qahba’ video has been viewed 88,600 times.

Well, yes. Labour people have the ability to laugh at themselves. This is a positive trait, infact. http://healthland.time.com/2011/08/09/why-laughing-at-yourself-may-be-good-for-you-first-ever-study/
“Labour people have the ability to laugh at themselves.” Others also laugh at them. What does that make them? Nies tad-dahq.
Well isn’t that the purpose of clowns?

After 37 comments from people informing her that they are praying for her, and how bad it is when these things happens to young babies, she reveals it’s a kitten she was talking about.
What a wonderful sense of humour. Indeed nies tad-dahq.

OK, let’s do our bit to make it as popular as the one above.

The message in the video is that Joseph Muscat has sought to draw everyone into his party, and he is now in a mess.
Watching the video, I was reminded of the story of the Titanic, and I think it is an appropriate comparison.
It was the “ship of dreams” and everyone wanted to go on that ship.
On the outside and the inside, it looked nice and attractive. But downstairs, its engineering was seriously faulty. Then, when it was put to the real test, it sunk to the bottom of the ocean on its maiden journey.
