I might be having a bit of a naive moment here, but would somebody please explain what the red arrow is doing in the last bit of this video?

Probably showing the right jacket cuff riding up.
He tries to grab Michelle’s hand with his right hand when she is on his left. He then gets obsessed with his tie and wants to look good. Finally he is trying to grab Michelle’s hand on his left.
[Daphne – Oh, that’s a relief. It looks as though it is pointing us towards his crotch, and I really didn’t want to look too closely at anything that might have been going on in the zipper department, what with all that excitement going on around him.]
Does his shirt have only one (right hand side) long sleeve?

I thought he was mimicking a Prince Charles mannerism.
Damn.. I saw that video till the end just to see a plane. How disappointing.
That would have been a Red Arrow rather than a red arrow.
I”m inclined to say that it’s a pre-speech ritual, probably the Labour version of the Haka. Magic wands do come into it.
Closing one button of your suit jacket isn’t quite ‘trendy’. That’s what it’s all about, I suppose.
Pointing to the future?
I think that’s a reference to something similar done by Barack Obama. He’s sort of copying his style.
[Daphne – Nervous tics, not style.]
