Edward Mole: The Underdog Years

Published: January 20, 2012 at 10:57pm

When Edward Scicluna reported for Xandir Malta back in the Golden Years (see photograph, those of you who don’t actually remember), was he secretly rooting for Eddie Fenech Adami and the Nationalist Party on the basis that they were the underdogs?

Or was Labour the underdog to him then as it is now, on the basis that the working-class is always the underdog even if it is bearing a pitchfork and snapping a guillotine?

    Was he a ballad singer?

At best, he was a Gensna singer.

Maybe he was aspiring to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest, although Malta was not participating in it at the time. Anything European was banned.

He later ended up in the European Parliament, where he talks, but does not sing.
