Star comment of the evening

Posted here by Allo Allo, in reaction to the sight of Anglu Farrugia overcome with false emotion while speaking at Labour’s annual general conference:

Given that the closeted Pink Mafia has taken control of Super One and much of the Labour Party hierarchy, Tusk Force Anglu no longer thinks it fashionable to be macho. So, ever the resourceful one, a Man For All Seasons and A Survivor (cue Eye of The Tiger), he uses his skills to show off his softer side.

Daphne, please allow me to use your blog to send him a message: “Trid tissue, siehbi? Mur igri ghand ir-Ronnie, Ray, Colonel Gruber jew xi Herr Flick ha jfissduk naqra”.

A red brick kotel hamaaravi is urgently needed at mile end rather than a ‘loggia delle benedizioni’.

MEPA to approve without delay for the sake of all those sufferring personal attacks from the ‘innominata’.

    With apologies to Alessandro Manzoni.

Why does Muscat insist on answering in Maltese to questions put in English, for an interview published in English?

Even Mintoff spoke English as and when required.

I see that Dr Franco Debono will bring the whole house down.

He’s acting like he actually promised “I will support anyone except Gonzi”. Joseph is the ‘anyone’.

Dr Gonzi had this monkey on his shoulders pestering him to make him minister for justice, and Gonzi tried to appease him with promises he could not responsibly keep.

Franco is ready to cut his nose to spite his face, and have ANYONE prime minister even an ex-Super One journalist, to lead our country.

Franco thinks that he can stop keeping his word/promise with his voters whom he’s supposed to be representing and bring down HIS government because he did not get something which is not his by right.

Today he can already read an interview on The Sunday Times of Malta where he can see a by-default relaxed prime minister-in-waiting. All this, thanks to the misguided efforts which another so-called intelligent criminal lawyer/MP is doing against his prime minister.

Ironically Franco will be defeated by Joseph, with Franco’s irresponsible actions. He’s got only himself to blame.

Franco, like many PL supporters, has a big chip on the shoulder against Gonzi and should do the ‘manly’ thing like Cyrus did, at least he would be in great company.

I think too much importance is being given to Anglu. In his narrow mind he is basking in such publicity – even negative publicity. He is basking in his importance as deputy leader – that’s all. The rest is duhhan.
