From the expert in Constitutional law
We know that laws don’t matter much to Mintoffiani, but now here’s one who, as his Salvatur once famously said while in the process of stealing a bank, jitnejjek mil-Konstituzzjoni.
Narcy Calamatta (ho ho ho, he’s so funny) posted this comment beneath Maltastar’s story on Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando’s ‘call for an election’.
In fair play when gentlemen contest each other and the result is a draw, 34/34, then they should share the prize. The gentlemanly thing to do in this No Confidence case is to give the LP parliamentary group the privilege to choose and appoint half the number of ministers untill the next elections are called. Fair is fair. Gentlemen never say ‘heads I win and tails you lose’. A gentleman is judged by what he does not what he says.
Interestingly, this latest stunt by Jeffrey – who couldn’t wait more than 24 hours to turn the limelight back onto himself – has led to him being hacked to bits on the internet comments boards by everyone: Labour, PN, AD and couldn’t-give-a-damn.
You’ve overplayed your hand, Jeff. Every girl knows what happens to a prick-teaser in the end. Seems like some men need to learn it too.
You led the Laburisti on, and they’ve joined the rest of us in having had it up to here with you. Carry on like this and they won’t even be voting for Carmen.

Something tells me that with the fairy princes and princesses, the zorros and pussycats descending on Valletta this coming carnival season, Cyrus, FD and JPO effigies may also be in evidence.

MR JEFFREY , I KNOW THAT YOU AND SOME MPS YOURE NOT HAPPY WITH GONZIPN …..BUT WHAT FOR IS USE TO CRITICISE YOUR PARTY IN FACEBOOK OR MEDIA …AND THEN WHEN MOTION IS HELD UP ……U VOTE IN FAVOUR (PN)???NO SENSE REALLY ? SO IF YOU AND DEBONO , MUGLIETT,ARRIGO & FRIENDS ARE NOT HAPPY …DONT GO OUT WITH ATTACKS IN MEDIA …ON SUNDAY YOU (PN) HAVE THE GENERAL CONFERENCE AND TOLD THEM FACE TO FACE …THATS IT CLEAR LIKE CRISTAL !!! BE A GENTLEMAN AND TOLD THEM THAT WE NEED ELECTION …WHY UR AFFRAID MR JEFFREY ?
So much taxpayers money was thrown away on this guy’s education. Dak zgur tberbieq ta’ flus.

Povri teachers, min jaf x’martirju raw.
I would have thought that this Nancy, oops sorry Narcy, had stopped being a kummidjant.
Minn dejjem kien ihobb idahhak dan Narcy.
I think it should become compulsory to check the IQ of some of the candidates the PN pools for the next election. I have a nagging feeling that some of them would fail miserably even on the most basic one.
JPO is a farce, always seeking attention. He seems to prefer being on television more than anything else.
Why can’t they lump it down their throats?
The Government did not lose a confidence vote; its the opposition that lost a no-confidence vote.
The voting result does not mean anything unless there is an absolute, (in this type of motion), majority.
It seems that narcissism is chronic in Malta.
Nice touch of proletariat intellectual panache: a red cravat coupled with a flat cap set at a rakish angle. Then he goes and ruins it all with a zip-up knit sweater.
Quite an old picture too… in-Narcy Narcisu. He was more credible as Wenzu in that comedy than as a politikant.
Once a moron, always a moron ( x 3 or more).
Does Narcy Calamatta question why the PL won’t take on Franco’s reforms? One of his proposals is that of ensuring internal democratic processes within political parties.
As if Joseph is going to risk that with his delegati. The same applies for Mugliett, JPO and others who keep pushing for early elections. What they really want is to keep Labour safe from scrutiny.
Of course Franco would have abstained. He made his decision the day he presented his private motion and witnessed Labour’s true nature.
And, as they say, lil Joseph ħarqu waħda sew. I guess he took more pleasure out of doing just that.
A testimonial to this constitutional expert can be found in Evarist Saliba’s memoirs, No, Honourable Minister on pages 272 – 273.
Interestingly enough the libel money with regards the attakk vili u personali were paid by the Labour Party.
