What nice people you can meet in the corridors (of power)

The Labour Party has announced to the media that Joseph – this time without His ‘n’ Hers North Face anoraks and silver Gucci wellies – braved the skies and:

met the socialist French Presidential candidate Francois Hollande in Paris.

The same press announcement told us that:

In Paris, Dr Muscat also met the head of the Presidential campaign Pierre Moscovici, who served as a Foreign Minister during the Lionel Jospin government.

This gives the deliberate impression of two separate, scheduled meetings set up to discuss Very Important Topics (like what to do about hair loss: Muscovici – “Be a man and live with it”; Hollande – “Comb it over and hope nobody will notice and you’ll still get a girlfriend on TV”; Muscat – “Panic, try a transplant, and when it fails, wear faded jeans.”)

Yet the photograph which Coconut Kurt’s Labour press office released, to mark the momentous occasions(s), shows that Muscat met Muscovici and Hollande together….in a corridor, and probably by chance.

“Stenna! Ha nohrog lis-smartfone u nigbed ritratt!”

You can always tell when Coconut Kurt’s taken the picture, because of the camera angle.

    Bitchy but funny.

The door on the right is a lift (elevator) door. They bumped into each other while waiting for the lift.

I am surprised they did not put “Ghaqal fit-Tmexxija – Progress u Stabbilta'” in white on that blue background for the photo session. And the flags of France, Malta, the EU and the one with the Ice Cream, in an orderly manner.

One could tell that it was not planned. Just look at the state of his hair. I mean what’s left of it.

Jesus Christ with a baguette! If Joseph Muscat is “Dr”, then Hollande and Moscovici cannot simply be “Mr”. They’re both ENA graduates. And that’s a hell of a lot harder than any “Dottorat” in a pseudo-subject from a godawful redbrick ex-polytechnic. But we Maltese are sticklers for rules when it comes to forms of address, aren’t we. What a bunch of inbred nerds.

I agree that the doctorate is in a pseudo-subject.

If the university is THE University of Bristol and not UWE Bristol then I strongly disagree that this is a ” godawful redbrick ex-polytechnic”.

It is nothing of the sort. It is a Russell group uni and one of the UK’s top ten.
