The willy-tugger has galletti for sale

Published: May 20, 2012 at 5:11pm

Charles J. Buttigieg has some galletti plants for sale. Don’t all rush at once. Gonzi must be starving him out of house and home.

But more interesting still is his take on how Air Malta was set up. How was he recruited, if he had no airline experience? Oh yes, kien bazuzlu tal-Labour.

Oh, and Charles J., do yourself a favour and learn this mnemonic:

Thirty days have September,
April, June and November.
All the rest have thirty-one,
Excepting February alone.
February has twenty-eight.
And twenty-nine in each leap year.

There is no 31st June. Ever.

I think someone needs to buy him a diary/calendar. June has only 30 days. If they make stupid mistakes like this, God help us when they’re elected.

During this man’s famous Air Malta career, what was the flight operating schedule for June 31?

    • Mister says:

Seriously… was this guy working at Air Malta for almost his entire career, and yet he does not know that June ends on the 30th?

And then in his previous post he’s ranting like a little kid who’s got his Playstation confiscated.

And what is he doing sitting on a truck-load of galletti plants? Bil-VAT jew bla VAT heee? Ghax Joseph hekk irid issa.

  7. Anthony says:

They have ben told that the general election is being called for 31st June.

    They actually believed it.

    “Willy-tugger” – well, not quite. He’s a “willy-tuggee”, if I recall the story well.

I have a couple of puns in mind in which galletti and willies are, so to say, intertwined, but I’ll reserve them to more intimate quarters.

How to build an airline. Pick up a dozen persons, preferrably without airline experience. Make sure that they are from Zejtun or very good friends of that thug-protector Wistin Abela, get a half dozen Pakistanis and start flying.

Also make sure that the chosen guys love tugging at their children’s willies to show lots of affection. U mur bih il-galletti, Charles, u hallina.

How many MLP die-hards from Mellieha did il-Lallu (Charles’ nickname) employ at Air Malta, as “luggage inspectors” or similar?

  13. La Redoute says:

Galletti plants are on sale at the nurseries for EUR5 per pot, so Charles J Buttigieg is trying to pull a fast one by saying he’s offering a discount.

If Galletti are “water biscuit plants” then Tursin il-Bir must be “parsley of the well”.

  15. Riff Raff says:

Starting with an asking price of 5 euros doesn’t leave much room for haggling. Here’s a lesson in how it’s done:

Water biscuits, is it? If the guy is trying to flog them he should at least know what they are called – Farfugium japonicum.

[Daphne – Galletti are not water biscuits, anyway.]
