Not a good look, boys.

Looks like a shot from Armageddon or The Matrix. Those are Labour’s top brass all in one photo. We’re in deep shit, man.

  2. Anthony says:

Don Carmelo, Don Carlo, Don Giuseppe e Don Eduardo.

    Ossequi.

  3. AV180R says:

Yesterday I witnessed one of the most pathetic scenes ever: Joseph il-Leader being driven by his personal chauffeur in his own Alfa through Burmarrad.

Kemm iridha, jaqq. La jkun il-Prim x’se jaghmel dan?

Jibda jaghlaq it-toroq minn fejn se jkun se jghaddi?

F’dan n-nejk mohhu. Dak il-genn kollu li ghandu biex jitla fil-poter.

    • cat says:

Who pays for his personal chauffeur? The LP I guess. When is the next “maratona gbir ta’ fondi”.

      • A. Charles says:

The state pays for a driver for the Leader of the Opposition, as distinct from the leader of the Labour Party.

      • ciccio says:

When he drives his car himself, it’s the Leader of the Opposition acting as a chauffeur for the leader of the Labour Party.

This pic reminds me of an 80s Italian Franco Battiato song: “c’e’ chi si mette degli occhiali da sole per avere piu’ carisma e sintomatico mistero … com’è difficile restare calmi e indifferenti … in quest’epoca di pazzi ci mancavano gli idioti dell’orrore.”

    This reminds me of someone.

In the latest deconstruction of “reality”, the (opposition) PM has been in charge all along (by virtue of their criticism of the project), while the (government) PM, apparently, is doing nothing, is directionless, and (almost) has been expired, still, maybe even till next March, as the Government, all along, has been in opposition, while the opposition resembles or is the government, which it isn’t, or is it?

I’m confused. Did I miss an election?

    • Jozef says:

It’s implied that there will be continuity between what this government is doing and what they intend to do.

Even because it will be practically impossible to perform any radical surgery notwithstanding what Silvio says. They need the civil service in place.

So in a way, there should be no difference between today’s PL and the PN, anzi, Joseph’s PL owns elements of vintage PN, the ‘exPN’ whereas GonziPN is a personal construct.

At least that’s what they seem to believe.

Interesting concept, with one minor defect; politics. Will it be income tax or VAT? Pensions or obligatory civil service? Sargas or djar ghal-komunita’?

As usual, they underestimate those who’re pouring money into their media machine. No, he can’t see it coming.

Unless he intends to recreate a diorama of Maltese politics inside the ‘national movement’ to practise sorting out the differences, he’ll find this fictitious map impossible to tame.

Word has it the ‘l-ewwel nitilghu, mbaghad naraw’ applies primarily to him.

Someone buys a tree (and what a specimen) and still the usual suspects issue their edict. Make that howlers.

Zammit Flora has a similar one, albeit a tad smaller, in his parking area, Derek can’t keep up with orders. Brilliant.

    What’s wrong with these people?

    http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20120613/local/tree-in-one.424125

[Daphne – Coincidentally, I saw the tree being delivered yesterday afternoon to the “private client” at Targa Gap, as we drove past. Quite an operation, involving a couple of cranes, a large lorry, a couple of traffic wardens, and several men. Yes, like you I was astonished that the “usual suspects” have something to say even about an olive tree. They seem to have a sense of ownership or rather, club membership, of the comments-board on timesofmalta.com.]

    • A. Charles says:

Such old olive trees in Sicily are known as “Saraceni” because they believe that they were planted during the Saracen period.

      • Jozef says:

There’s a beautiful group of olive trees, driving past Lija cemetery before turning up to Villa Francia, which I think deserve care and attention. Absolutely fantastic, all gnarled and twisted along the contours of the field.

  8. Malta Fan says:

Seems Like Coconut Kurt took your advice and got a ladder. No more photos of chins. Photos of Joseph’s balding head now.

  9. Rita Camilleri says:

But why the black sjuts and black ties?
