Malta Today

Malta Today ran a special edition today, headlining it PAYBACK TIME.

I was wondering whose pay-back, exactly, given that Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando was Saviour Balzan’s star witness in a libel suit brought against him by Richard Cachia Caruana (the one where he lied about me and I told him where to stuff it).

The very same libel suit in which Jeffrey the star witness and Saviour the defendant were ably assisted by Malta Today’s lawyer, the deputy leader of the Labour Party, Toni Abela.

I’ve worked in print journalism most of my life. I’ll tell you on this basis that Malta Today must have worked miracles to produce and print that 16-page edition after the vote at 8pm.

Unless, of course, they knew what was going to happen.

Jeffrey, Saviour and Toni d-deput mexxej tal-Labour: when I saw them in court whispering together it suddenly clicked that here, most possibly, was the true cabal.

Payback Time. Is that like “Ghajn ghal ghajn, u SINNA GHAL SINNA”?

  2. Lord Lucan says:

The gang of four haters plotting, scheming, and dreaming about missed opportunities and what could be.

    Saviour as the new RCC.

JPO as ambassador to the UK or USA.

Muglette as the number 1 court-appointed architect and valuations department architect.

While Toni Abela continues to clown about on Super One.

No ciccio, it’s ‘I scratch your back, you scratch mine’.

    And the plot thickens.

  5. Tal-Mistra says:

It is very clear now that Franco Debono had nothing to do with this RCC motion. He was critical but he wasn’t dragged into this. He kept completely out.

It is also clear now that Jeffrey Tal-Mistra and Joseph Il-Ginger did their utmost to force and push Franco to do for them what they wished so much to do themselves. When they realized that their plan to annoy Franco was not working, Jeffrey Tal-Mistra realized, after all ‘m’hemmx x’taghmel’.

The mask had to fall and he had to do it himself.

The last three Sunday front pages of Malta Today were all intended to annoy Franco u ikesksuh kontra l-partit with the only purpose of driving him to vote in favour of the political beheading of their nemesis Richard Cachia Caruana.

It is now clear as well that not only did Franco have nothing to do with this motion but he also managed not to fall into the joint trap set by Jeffrey Tal-Mistra and Joseph Il-Ginger.

[Daphne – Well, Jeffrey tal-Mistra did begin his parliamentary speech by yelling at Franco Debono and telling him to keep quiet ‘ghax int ma tafx toqghod man-nies.’]

    • Mister says:

Is there a sequence to the voting in parliament? What I mean is, did Jesmond Mugliette have to vote before JPO? Or is it all at the same time?

Are these sittings available online as a Sound Archive?

Dear Franco Debono, you can pay back JPO with some `motion` to ban any nightclub permits in Mistra for ever.

Not sure how that is possible, but boy would it be great to see his face then. JPO’s words to Franco Debono in parliament:

      “ma tafx toqghod man-nies”

Ar’emm hejj Jeffrey, ghax ser tghallimna int! X’wicc.
