I’m afraid this one’s a little naughty, though I strongly suspect that Ronnie Pellegrini will be glued to it for hours.

Ghalfejn din l-insistenza kollha bil-kelma “SAFE” kull x’hin jiftah halqu?
Allura tigi wahidha li taht Muscat Labour Party ma konniex “safe”.
Issa irid jaghitik “il-garanzija”! Sa fejn naf jien, garanzija tinghatha meta xi haga tista’ tmur hazin.
Ara GoziPN, ma ghandux ghalfejn iredden bil-garanziji ghax il-fatti jitkelmu wehidhom.
It’s interesting that they feel the need to promise that they’ll be “safe ghal kulhadd”. Isn’t that an admission most people think they’re not?
Sounds more like a condom advert.
Experience since the 1970s shows that safety is only guaranteed when the Malta Labour Party is in opposition.

Illum it-Times regghet harget ta’ mazetta meta kitbet dwar il-post ta’ awditur fil-MEPA li spicca bhala ufficju.
Lanqas biss indenjaw ruhhom jaraw ezatt taht il-qoxra, ahseb u ara kemm nizlu fil-qiegh tal-istorja.
Issa naraw ghada xi storja ha ggib fuq dan il-kaz ta’ Joe Falzon fil-gazzetta ghax waqghet wahda ghac-cajt u mhux facli tohrog minna. L-aqwa li bdiet teqred ghax is-Sur Falzon ma giex infurmat.
Ma qalitx li l-gvern geddidlu kuntratt iehor ghal tlett snien ohra u li dan l-ahhar kien qed jighata kuntratti ta’ tlett xhur, tlett xhur.
L-aqwa li pingiet lil gvern bhala xi monstru arroganti u lil dan Falzon bhala xi vittma. U imbaghad tara l-kummenti fuq it-timesofmalta.com u iktar tinduna liema qiegh misset issa it-Times
And I always thought that ‘sejf’ was a dagger. Somehow this seems more appropriate. N’est pas?
Saif translates as ‘Sword of Islam’ (eg Saif el Gaddafi) hence our use of sejf for the word sword before ‘Xabla’ (from Italian) became popular. So I agree with you there it may be very appropriate, oui.
