The pic with the fist is actually better.

You can still hear the “H**qq al-M*dunna” coming out of that second man’s mouth.
Malta’s Summer of Love
If you’re going
To Mar-sa-xlokk
Be sure to wear
Some flowers in your hair …
Again, kemm hu sabih dal-gens.
This is rock opera material. Liema wiehed ha jkun Renato?
I’d cast him as the owner of an ice-cream van in a comic role.
Thirty years ago I would have cast him as a heroic zaghzugh saving his omm Maltija (Mary Spiteri) and his oht qatt mimsusa (ahem) (Catherina Vigar) from the evil clutches of a manigold (Bayzo) protesting against the take-over of a public beach by the workers’ aristocracy, led, of course by mustachioed Ray Mahoney in the title role.
No catsuits this time. Just speedos.
The title? Not “Hair”. Nor “Grease”. Just “Camp”.
Budgie smugglers, hehe.
I know you are full of artistic talent and I admire your enthusiasm which ranges from literature to poetry to haiku to rock opera pieces.
But where is the second Chapter of Fifty Shades of Laboured?
60 euros fine for blaspheming in public, creating a disturbance, beating up unarmed citizens and turning up in court in that unspeakable attire, and all this when there is a suspended sentence already.
A bargain if you ask me. Worth punching someone who pisses me off. I wouldn’t even need to wear a jacket and tie inthe law courts.
A bargain for Coca-Cola no doubt. 300 euros and a few crates of Coke is a cheap price to pay for a bit of nationwide advertising.

The final solution to the illegal squatters problem.

This was an unbalanced match. A fight of four against one. This is so typical of the Maltese male bully coward and so reminiscent of past thuggery that preyed on weaker victims.
Should we remain silent when four ‘men’ savage one protestor? No. If we do then cowardice is our badge of shame.
By the way, the PL ad PN have not uttered a word about this incident.
How quaint. Makes me feel so proud.
I’ve seen the situation on the beach myself and how the campers live.
As far as I know camping on beaches is forbidden in Malta but it seems that the rule doesn’t apply for the beach in Marsaxlokk.
What’s ‘even worse than their beahaviour and their attire, just being fined 60Euro is even more incredible, and this for beating up another person, live on T.V. I’m sure that they found it worth it.
I’ve seen many disgusting men in my life but the one with his tongue out beats them all.
There should be laws making it obligatory for men like these to be sterilised to prevent them from breeding children like themselves.
Maybe this will help us, in a few hundred years, become considered as a civilised nation.
I expect to be ridiculed for making this statment, but that’t the way I see it and I have the right to express my opinion.
It makes you so proud to be Maltese.
Received a call from a buddy in Chicago this morning. Made an interesting comment. ‘ Didn’t believe you when you told me that Malta is south of Tunis. Guess you were correct. Sheesh.’ Had no reply.
In your reply you could have told him that it was just a fistfight and nothing compared to what a USA citizen did some 2 weeks ago when shooting to death about 12 persons whilst innocently watching a film,
bravo silvio !!!!!!!
You have to wonder why L-Orizzont, which had a photographer/videographer on the scene, carried no pictures of the brawl, nor video footage of it on their new website (only showing arguing people before it boiled over).
And then with the court arraignment, they showed them in long shot, unrecognisable, whereas they’re usually happy to get the tightest close ups possible in these situations.
Let’s bet that those (In)famous Five vote Labour.
La creme de la creme. People like these make me ashamed to be Maltese. If l-Orizzont did not elaborate on this incident there is only one answer – easy – work it out yourselves please.
One sick headline

Who would live in such conditions under canvas on the tiniest beach in Malta? The lowest of the lower class on the island. “Fil-fatt jidhru x’tip ta’ nies huma jaqq”.
Actually

The 40 yr old looks older than my grandad’s corpse and he was in his eighties when he died.
The truth is that Malta only has the thinnest veneer of civilisation. As soon as you touch it it cracks and the scum beneath comes frothing out.
It’s exactly like Daphne says – 25 years of democracy and we’ve still barely begun to instill anything like civilisation here. Mind you, the judiciary and the police force are letting us down badly too, especially the former.
I don’t think I’ll ever see my country ever having a majority of people that talk quietly, queue, drive according to the highway code, don’t litter, don’t kill protected birds, know how to hold a knife and fork, have some general knowledge . . .
Regarding highway code, in my opinion the police are not doing much about it.
The customers of certain poplular shops of the towns and villages park their cars in all manners and do not bother about the traffic beingb blocked but there is no way that you see a warden or a police giving fines.
Minibus and taxi drivers driving at full speed in order to catch up with all the trips are easily seen everywhere and not to mention those cars with a black cloud coming from the exhaust pipe.
