Yes, please do name a road after Mintoff
This is part of my column in The Malta Independent (Thursday).
Mintoffjani in Zejtun are clamouring to have a street or road there named after their false god. I am in agreement with their demands, as long as the road in question is that now called Tal-Barrani.
By all means, make this an everlasting memorial to Dom Mintoff and his political puppet, Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici, and to why Labour supporters and those who share their inclinations still don’t understand the principle, the universal and inalienable human right, of free expression.
That is where thousands of people protesting against the Labour government – to call them Nationalists would be strictly inaccurate, and the fact that not all of them were keen supporters of the Nationalist Party makes the protest against Labour more significant, though they were at a PN-organised demonstration – were savagely laid into by an army of thugs assisted by the police force of the regime. Unarmed people, including old ladies and children, were attacked by people armed with choking gas, guns, metal weapons, boulders, stones and chains threaded through lengths of rubber hosing.
Renaming Tal-Barrani Road ‘Triq Duminku Mintoff’ will also serve to remind us of his freakish obsession with foreigners (barranin), and how he veered between seeking their approval or wishing to acquire or dominate them – hence his marriage – and seeking to persecute them and wage war (ditto), unless those foreigners were suitably communist bloc or representatives of some pariah state like Gaddafi’s.
And when the road is renamed and the Labour Party, under Toni Abela’s direction and with no approval from the MEPA yet, finishes work on that statue it has planned, it should make sure to set it up next to the bronze effigy of Lorry Sant in Paola or Fgura or wherever they stuck it.
And between them, place a brown envelope and a gun.

I understand that today’s modern technology has developed a process that allows a sculptor to utilize ‘stiffened shit’ to sculpt a statue. Perhaps Toni and his puppets should look into this.
Beautiful! Now to find an equally imaginative solution for National Day.
29th February. The less the better.
the gun you mentioned is not the one the police had found in id dar centrali when they gived it a raid uxxxxx????Or the one they found into the farmhouse of pietru pawl busutill uxxxxx??????? is it the gun that had killed raymond and the ex prim minister EFA mentioned he knows whom they are who killed him but never turned to be true?????!!!!! and the envelope is not the one send to the late karen grech or to dr chetcuti caruana??????
[Daphne – Here’s somebody who doesn’t know that Pietru Pawl Busuttil was framed and that the gun planted in his farmhouse by the police had been in the possession of Karmenu Vella’s driver at some point. Amazing.]
Tajba…two pigs in the middle. At least though the price of pork went up.
