    • H.P. Baxxter says:

The perils of democracy. That’s what you get when you select popularity over integrity and discretion.

    • Tania says:

Boy, the Labour Party is already dropping their BFF like a hot potato eh?

Too late I’m afraid, we cannot forget that fast. He was a permanent guest on your TV station and now your bubble has burst along with his.

    • Angus Black says:

      Xamma ta hmieg, Eddy?

Ghal lanqas il-PN ma jibnix monumenti ghal xi ex-ministru li kien maghruf ghal hmieg, favuri ghal hbieb u hbieb tal-hbieb u biegh ta artijiet tal-gvern bi prezzijiet ‘specjali’, lill hbiebu. Dan ma jinkludix ir-‘rigali’ li kien jitlob bi dritt min ghand min ikun ircieva xi favur minghandu.

      • X’kien m’ghamiltyux investigazzjoni dwar Lorry Sant, ilkhom fil-gvern min 1987 ??? Jaqaw kien hemm nazzjonalisti mdahhlin f’xi korruzzjoni dak iz-zmien , u allura kien ahjar li thallu kollox kwiet ?

    • Clifford says:

Eddy, issa lil dan l-ex-vici sindku aghmlulu bhalma ghamiltu lill-ex-sindku tal-istess kunsill u huduh taht il-gwienah tal-partit taghkom. L-aqwa li tigbru l-voti, nodfa jew korrotti, ma jimpurtax.

  4. Village says:

The conspirators are crumbling, and having lost their leader they are now rudderless. What a waste. Their stance is lost and they should go back to the fold and repent.

  5. Min Weber says:

Was J’s sidekick Silvio Zammit ever charged on his explosive relationship with aircraft?

  6. Angus Black says:

Five stars. This is a keeper.

  7. Walter Cronkite says:

Why does the Labour Party need another website? And why does it need to hide the connection to the GWU?

    http://www.inewsmalta.com/

    Don’t L-Orizzont and It-Torca already have a website?

    Another “Gurnal Independenti ta’kuljum” ha-ha

    • Bob says:

They are advertising this website on Labour billboards. They think that if they own ‘independent’ media then it is true!

  8. Ian says:

MaltaToday is full of gems tonight. For example:

    POSTED BY: kukkanja — 16/10/2012 21:22:52 X.,misthija; l-ewwel Boris Johnstone u issa dan il-kaz ta Silvio Zammit versus Dalli!Vera messejna l-qiegh!

    Johnstone, eh?

  9. bob says:

  10. TROY says:

    Mhux jien, mhux jien, mama.

Min rega nqabad j***i ja brikkun.

    Dawk framjawni, mama.

  11. Harry Purdie says:

As the Chinese say ‘May you live in interesting times’.

  12. Bob says:

maltatoday.con (not .com) have already started to shift it all on Silvio Zammit to cover up for their hero.

  13. La Redoute says:

I wonder what Dalli’s form II C mid-yearly report said.

  14. Bob says:

It is sad but our country is just turning into another Italy when it comes to politicians.

    • L.Gatt says:

Yes but without Italy’ industry and export figures.

    • H.P. Baxxter says:

Well, the pompous demagogues who agitated for annex—sorry—-independence WERE Italy. So there you go.

I mean it was obvious that we’d revert to our natural Siculo-good-for-nothing state once British control was lifted.

  15. Aunt Hetty says:

This is just a thought, but………Lino Spiteri had his political career brought to a standstill by allegations made by that bragging nobody, the Bormliz Pawlu Muscat and his anonymous letter.

Could it be deja vu, with the main protagonists this time round, being this Mr.Zammit and Dalli?.

If this turns out to be the case, then what is there to stop some other shady nobody in future from trying to get his fifteen minutes of fame by doing likewise to some other political or public figure?

    • La Redoute says:

The report to the EC was not anonymous. The EC statement says that it acted on a report by Swedish Match. The company has confirmed that they reported Silvio Zammit’s offer to the EC in March 2011.

  16. Lorna saliba says:

No wonder Mr. Zammit’s restaurant managed to take over half of the Sliema promenade with an unlimited encroachment to the detriment of the competition paying a pittance if anything for it.

Maybe MEPA or the lands department could give us some insight on his permits for converting a small operation into a fully fledged industry at the expense of public land. But then it transpires that the restaurant is simply a front for political brokering and racketeering on an international level.

    Politics, like crime must pay!!
