A little something a rich poodle might wear to a restaurant
“What is sure is that I make it a point to really dress down on the weekend. I have this theory that you can always tell what a person’s line of work is by the way he dresses over the weekend: if he’s all dressed up for a simple meal at a restaurant it must mean that he doesn’t have to put up with suits and ties during the week. On the other hand, I’ve seen a very rich man wearing a tracksuit in a smart restaurant. That incident must prove my theory right.”– Joseph Muscat, interviewed in Malta Today, January 2002

tracksuit in a restaurant? the only place for a man to be seen in those horrible things is at the gym.
here’s a very rich man on a day at the office, very smartly dressed up.

@Claud
Tracksuits are also suitable for TV interviews, especially if you’re planning to contest a leadership race.
Look on the bright side – at least it wasn’t a shell suit! Remember those ghastly things?
@Can anyone track down a photograph of John Attard Montaldo in his Princess Cruises (or whatever) tracksuit, please? Simon just jogged my memory.
That was post 2003 election when JAM turned up at Ta’ Qali dressed like Ray Liotta in Goodfellas.
It was an Adidas tracksuit that wrapped up JAM. Princess cruises wrapped up the honeymoon.
Here he is, hands in pockets, telling us that he’s sure Alfred Sant will be a gentleman and resign.
