This shows that those at The Times are paying more attention to reading your blog than to making proper translations from Swedish to English.
Do you blame them? They’re trying to improve their writing skills.
Still not quite the right translation. I would have said “demanded”. It also clarifies any misunderstanding “Mr X asked for 60 million”, in headline grammar, could mean “Mr X was asked for 60 million”.
Probably too late for that. Two corrections in a row?
