Il-mamma mia, Franco Debono . se ddum iddoqq din id-diska tal-‘best in class’? Ibdel u doqq wahda ta’ Calleja forsi tinstema ahjar.

    • How is it that nobody is bringing up the subject of the “BIG BRAZILIAN COMPANY” which we were led to believe would be employing many Maltese workers ? The Times today has given the number of employees as 4. And that this company is closing down !!! This is the reality which Lawrence Gonzi has tried to hide from Xarabank televiewers !

  2. Hotelier says:

Daphne, can we see your Form 2 results please?

    • Angus Black says:

Do you think for one moment, anyone in his or her senses would keep a report card from Form II for twenty or more years especially if later Forms or Grades were more important in one’s overall educational success?

If Franco kept his Form IIc mid-term report card, it leads one to believe that it was his greatest accomplishment of his school years.

Daphne’s Form II results are none of your business.

The fuss about Franco’s Form IIc mid-term results was made because Franco created the issue himself when he waved that piece of paper at some journalists. He is the sole author of all the ridicule heaped upon him by more mature people who have long forgotten, much less blow their trumpet about, their boyhood ‘accomplishments’.

    • Angus Black says:

Ever wonder why, in Franco’s ‘blokk’ and others, not one living teacher of those days and who taught him, ever bothered to give a glowing comment or two about his ‘successes’?

  3. Tania says:

Ok, I have had enough of this fool so I’m going to try and explain something to him.

Franco, many children at form 2 level get good grades.

All of us in my immediate family got even better grades than the ones you are so proud of.

In every class there usually are at least four students with grades above eighties. Considering the number of classes across Malta there must be thousands of “star students”.

So you see Franco, you are nothing special. Some of these bright sparks continue to shine but most end up being average and a few remain stuck in the time they felt most accomplished, and this is what seems to have happened to you.

I wish you would do yourself a favour and stop making such an ass of yourself.

As for the rest of us, we have had it up to here with you and just want to forget about you once and for all.

    • Anthony Briffa says:

      Soon.

    • Marcus says:

      Inti qed igibni fiha, Tania.

Sal-Form 2 il-marki ghandhom tendenza jkunu gholjin, aktar minn 80, izda kif titla l-Form 3 jitbaxxew.

      Jien nara mit-tfal tieghi.

      Barra minn hekk, fl-ahhar mil-ahhar x’taghmel b’hajtek jiswa, u mhux kemm gibt fil-Form 2.

  4. bernie says:

Mid-dehra d-dinja ta’ franco waqfet mal-Form IIC. Anke l-mentalita tieghu baqghet hemm. Allura dak kien il-high point ta’ hajtu?

  5. il-baks says:

Madoffi , anke ix-xemx trid isasqi lilu jekk titlax filodu.

  6. La Redoute says:

Star student, eh? Well, he would be with that report if he went to an all-boys school. It can’t have been too difficult to stand out when normal school boys are hooked on having fun.

  7. C says:

Hawn nies li meta jkunu tfal ma jibbrillawx imma jikbru b’mod normali, ma jibqghux tfal, jimmaturaw u jsiru stillel.

Imbaghad hawn ohrajn li taparpsi jibbrillaw meta jkunu tfal, jibqghu tfal, ma jimmaturawx u jintfew daqs li kieku qatt ma ezistew.

  8. GABS says:

Biex joghqod jahli dan il-hin kollu fuq il-blog u kummenti, nahseb li ma tantx ghandu x’jaghmel bhala avukat. Veru li kien star student, imma zgur m’huwiex xi star lawyer.

  9. Busufu says:

Daphne, ippermettili ngibha fuq il-blog tieghek ghax Franco ma jhalliniex ingibha fuq tieghu.

Imma ma joqghodx iwaqqa ghaz zuffjett lil min ikun gab rizultati tajbin jekk hu ma gabx l olevels
joqghod ikanta u ncapcpulu imma ma jidholx f territorju fejn huwa tellief.

F’TERRITORJU FEJN HUWA TELLIEF? Jew f’terriotrju fejn jigi ghala biex z++++?

  10. Mymo says:

Who said Franco was “best in class”? You have only his word for it.

Well, I was in the same class as he and Joseph Muscat, and I can tell you that in that class, and the entire year for that matter, there were many real star students who went on to much greater things, academically and otherwise, and left Franco behind to eat their dust.

He was lucky to be 10th best and 30th overall, and this after a lot of struggling.
