Now they’re hiding their supporters

Published: December 10, 2012 at 5:30pm

Labour supporters – obviously not the shiny new tal-pepe switchers, but those OTHER ones – have been issued with instructions from party HQ not to converge on parliament square tonight.

Labour knows that the last thing it needs right now is a huge crowd of crowing, shrieking, clapping and flag-waving diehard Laburisti outside parliament, celebrating ghax waqa l-gvern.

Smart move, eh. Except that, of course, we know they’re there, even if they’re hiding.

I am all agog to see how Muscat plans to handle his pre-electoral mass meetings without scaring people. That’s going to be a tough one.

Let’s start practising, shall we?

They’re still defying the ban. A carcade is forming next to Super One in Marsa.

Some of them are right there in the Strangers’ Gallery and believe me, they will not only cheer but they will bring the house down, literally.
