Malta Taghna Lkoll, imma mhux ta’ Defni ghax dik ma tridx tghid kemm ahna najs jew tisswitchja bhal l-ohrajn tal-pepe
And to really prove my point, Super One TV is going to town right now with a wholesale attack on me, making me a continued target for its mad, ugly supporters.
I guess they’ve worked out that it’s worth breaking their false front and mantra of Peace and Love and Malta Taghna Lkoll in the hope that one of their ghastly supporters will finally put a bomb on my doorstep and get me off their backs.
They talk about free speech and progressive, liberal thinking and behaviour, and this is what the atavistic monkeys do. They just can’t help themselves.
So I was right in thinking that they did it, with the help of their Labour friends in the police, to get a Big Story on their self-perceived Mortal Enemy in the run-up to an election.
Too bad my reliable propensity to migraine (it’s an inherited condition, incidentally) cheated them out of most of that. The first hearing is now on 10 May.
But they clearly had the ‘news story’ ready in advance anyway, so they’re rolling with it, keen not to be foxed out of their moment.
Kemm intom injoranti, stupidi u hodor, jahasra. Twenty years down the line and it’s still about me: Ghax Defni Ghamlet Hekk, u Defni Qalet Hekk. Grow up, and understand that you’re a political party in a democratic member state of the European Union (no thanks to any of you, though you sure as hell creamed all you could off the gravy train).

We are within the first situation and they came out saying that the wages and salaries are not increasing.
“mad ugly supporters” !!!!! Have a look at the mirror, then make comparisons ! Also just shows who’s “mad” too !!!
Daphne, mela hbejta l-blog tal-bierah dwar il-kaz li kellek tidher il-Qorti fuqu ??? Jaqaw ma kellekx il-kuragg li jibqa jidher ghax ghamiltlek diversi mistpqsijiet ?? Chicken !
[Daphne – No, Eddy, I didn’t remove it. Posts automatically move into the archives as new ones come on stream. It’s still there. There’s a search box at the top of the page. Learn how to use it.]
That only shows one thing, Daphne – they feel threatened by the truth because the truth may interfere with their gain of power, the power that they are so desperate to gain. At all costs.
Also, the fact that they can do absolutely nothing to stop this blog from continuing to function drives them completely nuts.
I would be flattered. You clearly worry them. No doubt Man Utd TV are doing the same about Suarez.
While you continue to allow political parties to run TV stations, (one each = the Maltese idea of balance,) then what else can you expect?
A housewife who runs a blog in her spare time has the opposition in a lather?
You couldn’t make it up.
[Daphne – I hate to disabuse you of the notion, but I’m not a housewife. Never have been (though it would have been fun had it been possible for a while).]
Daphne writes cookery books.
And damn good ones too. A couple of weeks ago I made profiteroles by following a recipe from one one of her Taste magazines of about four years ago.
In fact Daphne has created a unique recipe, called ” VITRIOL” !
I never knew daphne wrote cookery books, I thought she said she never was a housewife, but then I would like to ask you Daphne what is your favourite dish?
[Daphne – I don’t write cookery books. I publish and edit a food magazine.]
I was referring to what Jason Micallef said in court.
bystander, I’m not sure why you thought you had to take a dig at Manchester United but for correctness’s sake it is MUTV and not Man Utd TV.
Whatever you are we LOVE YOU!
Their Hamrun headquarters must be running on panic mode right now.
They had feared that their proposals will be shot down and that is happening. They are all afraid to speak out and discuss in a relaxed way in case something slips up and they follow Anglu’s fate. Yesterday’s behaviour on Bondi+ proves this.
The PN is slowly but surely putting them into a corner. The gap is closing and they just can’t take it.
Joseph is already tasting some medicine a’ la Franco Debono. They’re far from one united team and they are still in opposition. All they are doing is deflecting attention on others and away from their plight. Imma mhux kullhadd cuc.
I am also noticing another thing. It’s not only Labour supporters who are angry but also the switchers. They feel betrayed and disappointed that they cannot come out and openly praise Labour’s proposals and I’m don’t have the NGOs in mind.
Joseph didn’t plan an election campaign.
The PN will submit it’s electoral program on the 21st of this month.
When will Labour do the same?
Hello there, FAA!
Any one at home?
What is your opinion about the fate of Marsaxlokk and its residents, if Labour is elected?
Ms Caruana Galizia, all this is only because they know very well that you are definitely the best opinion-writer and journalist on this tiny island.
I really admire your guts and your pen even though I might disagree with some of your opinions.
I am approximately your age (born in 1963) and I have been reading your contributions since you started.
Once, I think it was in the early 90s when the MLP even then already targeted you in an uncivilised way, I sent you a personal letter of solidarity and I still have your reply.
I’ve been on the receiving end of Labour’s slander machine myself. Me, a complete unknown, and a potential switcher. What an incredibly stupid tactic. They could have made advances and tried to bring me over to their side.
It only hardened my resolve to keep Labour out of power. At all costs, if it means voting PN yet again.
It’s not a battle of cultures, it’s a war. We, the Uncommitted are left holding the limes against the barbarian hordes.
And this, is Joseph Muscat.

5 bloody years to conclude that there is an energy policy after all. What a shambles.
The jackets keep getting shorter. Or he’s put on weight.
From bumfreezer to bolero.
we love you
I’ve had enough of this Malta Taghna Lkoll malarkey. Of all the slogans that they could have come up with, they chose this, the most insulting to the nation.
As opposed to what, Malta Ghal-Laburisti Biss, as it was in their heyday Golden Years? The Nationalists who are supposed to have taken over the country gave me freedom of speech, opened the university for all, built a new airport, power station, telecomms, a new hospital, countless new schools and put this tiny rock on par with much older democracies.
What about the economy and jobs? Why do you think we aren’t knocking on the EU’s door asking for a bailout like Greece and Cyprus?
No thanks to Labour, that’s for sure. Now Joseph comes along, promising heaven on earth at the snap of a finger with an energy proposal based on nothing.
Labour, stop insulting our intelligence.
The circumstances of and follow-ups to your court case in connection with your alleged collision with another car and the police handling of the case bring out the worst in Labour against you.
Their idea of democracy and freedom of speech is limited to politicians. Anyone outside politics has no right to criticise them, their actions and ideas. Because you’re not a politician they think they can destroy you – the cowards.
How else can one explain their behaviour?
Luckily you’re even stronger than politicians because you have a clear and logical mind which is expressed brilliantly and forcefully. Even if I don’t always agree with your comments I still see you as champion of our freedom of expression, whatever the morons may say.
They just don’t know what Voltaire’s maxim means: “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”
Although there are a lot of inconsistent people around (“yes, but”) I’m sure there are thousands of sensible Maltese who sympathise with and support your cause. Even though we’re not used to it, you show us in a concrete manner what it means to stand up for your (and our) right to freedom of speech.
People in public life, just like ideas, should expect to be torn to shreds and not praised for anything they do or say.
After those horrific years when Malta Socjalista was the buzz word, these amateurs have come out with the slogan, Malta Taghna Lkoll in 2013. The PN slogan should read Malta Taghna Europea.

Shocked and disgusted by the abusive behaviour of those policemen. However, I’m not surprised.
Having experienced a similar ordeal at hands of some very rude and abusive policemen, wardens and even some member of the judiciary, I feel very sorry for you.
Hopefully, one day those people who are supposed to follow the law and protect citizens in a civil society will learn that having a uniform on does not give them right to be bullies to intimidate citizens. I’m not hoping too much, am I?
