My, how transparent

Yesterday night, The Malta Independent dispatched a journalist to the Rialto in Bormla, to which august institution the Labour Party had invited – by post – Enemalta employees for a presentation.

The journalist was not allowed in. Karmenu Vella told the newspaper that the purpose of the meeting was to show them Labour’s plans.

When Joseph Muscat arrived, he was rushed past and straight into the hall, and no questions were answered.

Give the poor man a break.

He has 7 weeks until polling day.

Plenty of time to have closed door meetings with everyone.

    Chillax.

    Dan bis-serjeta’?

Simple. Just kidnap an Enemalta employee and waterboard him until he reveals what he saw during the meeting. We can get our analysts to build a 3D model of those plans.

    Come on chaps, be resourceful.

Most of Enemalta workers who attended where Labour diehards, mainly those who were given a plot for free and a job with the government in the golden pre-1987 days.

Muscat assured them that no one will lose his job (and they believed him without question) and will not lose any benefits like allowance for working on Sundays, etc., where it applies.

Muscat also promised them work in dismantling/demolition of existing plants at Marsa and at Delimara Phase 1, and also said that the new plant will be built by them (so for sure it will take an eternety).

It seems the excuse for not allowing journalists was so that the workers could freely ask what they want.

Some PN sympathizers also attended but most didn’t dare ask questions, fearing repercussions after PL’s victory in March (eg transfers, downgraded, etc). Will try to contact some of these, maybe they can give further info.

The journalist should have gone equipped with a Malta Taghna Lkoll placard and shown it to them – to remind them of their own message.
