I would have added quotes from the lady who wants to do audits of civil servants and Joseph Muscat with a smirk in his face at the end. Malta Taghna Lkoll. What a laugh.
I may also be correct to expand that notion to the vote in this election.
Like many others, I am no particular fan of this present government and one cannot deny the fact that a few of the present PN MPs have rendered themselves the promoters of antipathy.
Having said that, I have to acknowledge that I am an egoist and I want peace of mind that what good has been obtained by this Government is retained.
The real breakdown has developed within the PN which is crying out for internal change. Notwithstanding the failures of the Party, the government has been generally positive and admittedly and perhaps reluctantly for some, there is no real alternative to it in sight.
Din hallija fuq quddiem aktar minn gimgha, biex dawk li ma jafghux, u wisq aktar dawk li ma jridhux jafu, jintebhu bl-ipokrizija li huwa Joseph Muscat u l-partit li jmexxi hu.
Mmm wonder who’s been training him? Reminds me of the classic putdown: “He doesn’t make the grade when it comes to intelligence but when it comes to sly and cunning it’s another story.”
A cousin of mine who most definitely is not a Labour supporter and never ever gave her mobile number to any PL offical, has ended up with frequent unsolicited political messages on her mobile from the PL, as well as an unsolicited invitation to a reception (for free) organized by a Labour MP, whilst another Labour MP invited her to a party where each female guest was to be given a free pendant.
She lives in the first electoral district. She is very mystified as to how her mobile number ended up on the PL’s data base.
That’s what happens when you promise a skip full of vested interests, that Joseph is going to lead them through the deserts of Malta, into the land of milk and honey.
So on the weekend, the sermon will be aimed at the tal-pepe people, with nary a glimpse of red or the humble torca to be seen, whilst during the week, Joseph has to rally the core troops, those who think that this is all crap, and blue is anathema.
Throw in a dose of hugs and kisses with the gay groups on one day, and hope to God that nobody speaks his mind about the ‘qabda pufti’ on the next.
Don’t forget to suck up to the environmentalists today, and the developers tomorrow.
Liberal on Monday, Norman Lowell fans on Tuesday, Socialists on Wednesday and Democrats on Thursday, a Republican on Friday, and a Mintoffjan on Saturday.
Sunday our Joseph is THE man for all.
THE man for all seasons, as long as you vote for him.
After the vote, end of show, piss off, because now it’s party time for the marmalja and the Real Evil Click.
But till than, and as long as you have a vote, Joseph’s your man.
I happened to catch a short glimpse of TVM’s presentation.
I observed both Labour speakers reading their part from a prepared script. If that was really the case throughout the ‘debate’ how come this change in ‘tactics’.
Aren’t Toni Abela and Hili allowed to speak their bit on their own – or, at least by heart – or can they not be trusted any longer to do the first?
‘…A new pro-divorce movement has been launched called Kattolici IVA ghax-dritt (Catholics, YES- because it is a right)
In a press conference held yesterday in Valletta, the movement’s spokesperson Carmel Hili said that this movement believes everyone has the right to vote without having anyone impose their views on them.
He said that the movement believes that everyone who votes yes in the referendum, should not feel excluded by the Catholic Church or by Christ’s teachings….’
If anything he should have spoken as a lay citizen, not insert the dome of St.Peter’s in his movement’s logo and redefine for himself the canons of Catholic faith.
I suppose it’s in the peculiar Maltese tradition of replacing the Church.
I don’t know how worthy this is to share but if someone is looking for flights you can google “flights to mla” to see a list of direct flights going to Malta.
You can also google for “flights from mla” to see a list of direct flights departing from Malta.
“mla” in the search string can be replaced with any other airport code – usually you can easily find the airport code on airline booking websites or by separately googling for “city-name iata”.
I don’t live in a city with direct flights to Malta so this was extremely helpful for me while trying to find a convenient airport that I can use as a connection.
“Mr Bartolo said Labour regretted its measures to restructure the stipends system in 1996 but said it had been constrained by the serious financial situation it inherited from the previous Nationalist government.”
Sounds like a rather indiscreet ‘botta’ signifying their future plans. After all, one of their campaign videos targets precisely the government debt and the supposed bad financial shape of state finances.
Well said. That’s why they’re hiding people like Debono Grech because they’re pushing the dyed-in-the-wool Mintoffian wolves in sheep’s clothing.
The worrying part is that the ‘disgruntled’ and ‘floaters’ are swallowing the bait because they think Labour will not make the same mistakes as 17 years ago. Wait and see.
The Canadian Company in question is SNC-lavalin Inc. headquartered in Montreal. The reason I had brought this to your attention was because SNC-Lavalin is a major partner with Sargas on a number of projects. So, in the mix, we have Dalli-Sargas-SNC Lavalin-Gaddafi.
Coincidence? What was reported them in the Canadian press was that high executives at SNS Lavalin tried to help Gaddafi’s Son out of Libya had have settle in Mexico. You can check the Globe and Mail; http://www.theglobeandmail.com/
What kind of people are these to publicly and shamelessly incite their people into hating others, for no apparent reason other than they are PN supporters?
Now Joseph wants us to believe that Malta will be taghna lkoll thanks to him.
Hamallu. Joe Debono Grech.
Joe Debono Grech biss? Ma fihomx x’taghzel.
Dik Justyne cercura tal-prima klassi. Joseph pastaz imbiddel. Insomma, m’hemm hadd sura.
Jien nitnixxef li hawn nies li lesti javdaw il-futur taghhom u ta’ uliedhom f’idejn dan iz-zibel ta’ nies.
best horror trailer of 2013
Liked it eh?
[Daphne – Yes, thanks.]
I would have added quotes from the lady who wants to do audits of civil servants and Joseph Muscat with a smirk in his face at the end. Malta Taghna Lkoll. What a laugh.
How sad.
How very sad.
We all have to lump it.
Because Malta taghna lkoll.
It is.
It so very sadly is.
Our dear motherland.
What a shame.
And now for a short commercial break from politics:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IrXIPibnbY
Would you call that the beginning of the end, or the end of the beginning?
I would simply say ‘waste not, want not’.
I may also be correct to expand that notion to the vote in this election.

Who is the woman saying “ahna familja.. dawk mhux fil-familja taghna”? Is she a candidate?
[Daphne – That’s Justyne Caruana. She has been a Labour member of parliament for some time now.]
A candidate ?
She actually sat in the House.
Shameless.
Ironically Labour spokesperson for the family.
So true. That is how they are.
It is useless to wear blue ties, to utter a few English words, to have blue billboards.
Dawn huma l-istess LEJBER. They will never change. They are making us believe they are different but they are not.
That’s downright, with all honesty, frightening.
This evening, when expanding on his future reforms for the judiciary, Dr Muscat referred to the Arrigo and Vella cases and the recent Ray Pace case.
His memory failed him when it came to the sister of a senior Labour MP and the daddy of a new Labour candidate.
A very ‘selective’ memory is the hallmark of the little, useless, dangerous shit and his horde..
Mmm wonder who’s been training him? Reminds me of the classic putdown: “He doesn’t make the grade when it comes to intelligence but when it comes to sly and cunning it’s another story.”

The same happened to me and I don’t even live in Malta.
Chris Cardona’s a frequent offender.
Contact the Data Protection office with the details of the message. You can file a formal complaint here:
https://secure.gov.mt/dataprotection/public/complaint_frm.aspx?mode=new
The offending PL candidates were not Cardona, but Herrera and Cilia.
Chris Cardona is a frequent offender. I know because I am at the receiving end of his irritating messages.
I understand that the Data Protection office has received so many complaints, they are dealing with them collectively rather than individually.
I’m sick and tired of ‘Mario’ messaging incessantly about the whereabouts of Cardona’s next coffee morning.
Labour never changes, never did, never will. It is in their DNA.
Ma x’biza! Not the clip mind you, but the people who will quench their thirst for power.
Toni Abela called for social and political justice this evening when concluding his speech on TVM’s debate.
‘Political justice’, whatever that means.
Am I right in saying there’s major inconsistencies in the message? It’s schizophrenic.
We get Sunday sermons by Joseph to the whole population, and a contrasting message aimed at their hypothetical extended support on weekdays.
On ONE, the news, the discussion content and ‘common knowledge’ upon which these are based are blatant misinformation.
It’s quite ugly.
That’s what happens when you promise a skip full of vested interests, that Joseph is going to lead them through the deserts of Malta, into the land of milk and honey.

Vanni, for me this just about sums up the Labour campaign. Priceless.
I happened to catch a short glimpse of TVM’s presentation.

Aren’t Toni Abela and Hili allowed to speak their bit on their own – or, at least by heart – or can they not be trusted any longer to do the first?
Correct me if I am mistaken, please.

Can someone find the video of when Muscat, then a Super 1 reporter, announced that Labour lost the election, please?
I’m still searching this needle in a haystack.
I think it was 1998.
I wish that everyone (adults only) can see his scary face, as a loser.
Tal-biki.
Kemm hu ikrah il-faqar morali u psikologiku.

Sounds like a rather indiscreet ‘botta’ signifying their future plans. After all, one of their campaign videos targets precisely the government debt and the supposed bad financial shape of state finances.
Press Conference on now on NET TV with the Prime Minister and Simon.
Joe Debono Grech – pure bile coming out of his mouth.
Joe Debono Grech vera wiccu u sormu l-istess to say that the PN “kisser u farrak lil Malta”. Ghandu wicc.
Justyne Caruana is a pure and simple Laburista hadra.
They already act this way with just the smell of victory, let alone when they ascend to power.
I am so concerned for those youngsters who haven’t really understood what is about to happen if Labour are elected.
As far as Joe Debono Grech is concerned, what you see is what you get.
It is slimy snakes like Varist and Josephmuscat.com that are the really venemous ones.
Scratch the civilized surface and out jumps the rabid dyed-in-the-wool Mintoffian.
They remind me of the VISITORS.
Hawn hu il-Bully tal-Mosta, il-King tal-Partit Laburista.
U vera King ta’ ghax fil-Partit Laburista ghandu sahha hafna aktar minn Joseph Muscat.
Kollox kif ried hu u kif jaqbel lilu sar.
Ghid lil Anglu x’sahha ghandu Jason, habiba.
SWITCHERS BEWARE: THE ENEMY IS AT THE GATE.
Excellent video. Shows Labour for what it is.
Taghna lkoll. Taghna lkoll. Taghna lkoll. Taghna biss. Taghna biss.

This is the real Labour Party.
I do not believe they have changed. When Joseph talks of loving one another and praises Eddie Fenech Adami etc., he is just fishing for votes.
Wolves in sheep’s clothing. That’s all they are.
Hypocrites.
Daphne, FYI. Times of Malta is reporting that “Malta used in Canadian company’s bribe to Gaddafi Son”
http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20130126/local/malta-used-in-canadian-bribes-to-gaddafi-son.454796
