I would simply say ‘waste not, want not’.
I may also be correct to expand that notion to the vote in this election.
Like many others, I am no particular fan of this present government and one cannot deny the fact that a few of the present PN MPs have rendered themselves the promoters of antipathy.
Having said that, I have to acknowledge that I am an egoist and I want peace of mind that what good has been obtained by this Government is retained.
The real breakdown has developed within the PN which is crying out for internal change. Notwithstanding the failures of the Party, the government has been generally positive and admittedly and perhaps reluctantly for some, there is no real alternative to it in sight.

A cousin of mine who most definitely is not a Labour supporter and never ever gave her mobile number to any PL offical, has ended up with frequent unsolicited political messages on her mobile from the PL, as well as an unsolicited invitation to a reception (for free) organized by a Labour MP, whilst another Labour MP invited her to a party where each female guest was to be given a free pendant.
She lives in the first electoral district. She is very mystified as to how her mobile number ended up on the PL’s data base.
The same happened to me and I don’t even live in Malta.

The offending PL candidates were not Cardona, but Herrera and Cilia.
Chris Cardona is a frequent offender. I know because I am at the receiving end of his irritating messages.
I understand that the Data Protection office has received so many complaints, they are dealing with them collectively rather than individually.
I’m sick and tired of ‘Mario’ messaging incessantly about the whereabouts of Cardona’s next coffee morning.

Throw in a dose of hugs and kisses with the gay groups on one day, and hope to God that nobody speaks his mind about the ‘qabda pufti’ on the next.
Don’t forget to suck up to the environmentalists today, and the developers tomorrow.

I happened to catch a short glimpse of TVM’s presentation.
I observed both Labour speakers reading their part from a prepared script. If that was really the case throughout the ‘debate’ how come this change in ‘tactics’.
Aren’t Toni Abela and Hili allowed to speak their bit on their own – or, at least by heart – or can they not be trusted any longer to do the first?

I suppose it’s in the peculiar Maltese tradition of replacing the Church.
I don’t know how worthy this is to share but if someone is looking for flights you can google “flights to mla” to see a list of direct flights going to Malta.
You can also google for “flights from mla” to see a list of direct flights departing from Malta.
“mla” in the search string can be replaced with any other airport code – usually you can easily find the airport code on airline booking websites or by separately googling for “city-name iata”.
I don’t live in a city with direct flights to Malta so this was extremely helpful for me while trying to find a convenient airport that I can use as a connection.
