I’m reduced to hoping that if the PL get elected they WON’T carry out their electoral programme.

Unfortunately, that is what we hoped when Alfred Sant was elected to power in 1996. But we all know what eventually happened.
In a perverse, twisted way, I hope that Labour will be elected.
It would then be left to put its money where its mouth is and a mirror will be held up against all the “Nationalist switchers” aching to give Joseph “a chance”.
Too bad that the more intelligent and saner ones among us will have to endure the next five years repeating “I told you so”.
It will not last five years. Two and a half at most. With a bunch of dinosaurs in power, led by a much younger and much less savvy leader, it’s bound to implode pretty soon.
I hope that if PL is (God forbid) elected, they will NOT carry out THEIR electoral programme, but stick to the budgetary measures announced by the PN, which they have hijacked and repackaged as their own.
[Daphne – They can’t, because the numbers won’t add up.]
I know. It’s wishful thinking on my part. That’s all.
My skin crawls at the prospect of this ruthless Macchiavellian pipsqueak ruling the roost in a few weeks time, with the assistance of that line-up of shady, creepy fossils from another era.

Daphne, surely this is the top comment of the afternoon?
He won’t get much votes. Escorts are passe’ now. Second-hand BMWs are all the rage. Keep up with the times, ciccio.
Esteve, unwittingly, describes France’s 2012 election in a nutshell.
When voters were polled on whose policies they support, Sarkozy won overwhelmingly, and consistently, including seven months AFTER his electoral defeat.
Yet the people still voted for “change”. Now they wish they never had.
Yes, a mysterious press report issued this morning indicated that Hollande was going to rescind the ‘millionaire’s tax’, was later denied.
Typical Labour ploy. Confuse the great unwashed.
The fuckers. They’ll take away my EU passport. I’ve only had it for nine years. So dies my European dream. Fucking millionaire bastards.
Switzerland and CERN awaits, my friend.
The latest election offer is a 300 euro voucher to be used in supermarkets.
The supermarkets were asked to contribute towards the voucher so that Malta’s deficit is not affected.
This is the latest from the gravevine news in Malta Taghna u tac-Cinizi.
