Tell me who is going to use a foot bridge which must have at least two flights of stairs?
I may be mistaken but I do not think there is access to central Qormi from the bypass, one still has to walk down to Triq il-Mithna, so with the footbridge instead of walking down the Industrial Estate one will walk down the bypass to go to Qormi, which is practically the same distance.
Is he running for the local council elections?
Instead of making an educational campaign on how not to cross highways Mary Louise’s Leader subtly supports the petition in exchange for votes.
Well without the footbridge, someone did lose his life. Rather a steep price to pay I reckon.
Yeah, sure. How many people will use a footbridge, which entails climbing, when most won’t even go for a walk?
I’m sorry but this is ridiculously stupid.
The Qriema on the other side of the bypass can easily walk down through the industrial estate and into Qormi from there. It’s maybe 100 metres longer and two minutes extra.
There should be no need to cross a busy road such as that bypass to avoid that little walking.
But as we all know by now, Joey will promise anything to get a few more votes.
Interestingly the footbridge will take 8 to 12 months to build, therefore if residents wait an additional 6 months over and above that they can have a fully fledged gas power station to go with it.
